Hospitality - 2012

Hospitality’s debut self-titled album is a quick, super-enjoyable, 33 minute pop/rock jaunt. The songs they wrote for this album are filled with hooks. The verses have hooks, the choruses have hooks, the hooks have hooks! Their sound is similar to Belle & Sebastian at their best. "Betty Wang”, “Friends OF Friends”, and “The Birthday”, all great. “Liberal Arts” speaks to their twenty-something, college grad fans, who are wandering through the real world. Their arrangements are rock, but not too edgy, and pop, yet still maintain a rock band feel. This is an album that you can put on any time, when you’re looking for something that’s not too heavy.
